Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census. – Concordance between the Standard Industrial Classification of the U.S. and Canada (Lang.: eng). - In: PB91-155291ADR.Springfield, VA, NTIS, 1993?. – pp. 262. The concordance was jointly prepared by the US Dept.of Commerce and Statistics Canada. It presents a concordance between the 1987 U.S. Standard Industrial Code (SIC) and the 1980 Canadian SIC. It identifies the two national SICs and provides a standard for relating establishment-based statistical data collected and published by the two other countries, in termsof one or the other SIC.

Four classification systems were investigated in order to select the most suitable for a concordance classification between systematic catalogues. The Dewey Decimal Classification was considered the best one. A model is now being tested in general subjects such as music and arts.
