As Dr. Gnoli is unable to travel to India, the lectures will be delivered via Google Meet. The first lecture will be from 11 am to 12.15 pm (followed by a lunch break) and the 2nd lecture will be from 1.30 to 2.45 pm (India time). Arrangements have been made to stream the lectures in the Dr. S. R. Ranganathan Hall of the Dept. of Library & Information Science, Manasa Gangothri, Mysore. All are welcome.

About Dr. Gnoli: Dr. Gnoli works in the Science & Technology Library, University of Pavia, Italy. He is an internationally known scholar and researcher in the area of Knowledge Organization and is an editor of the International Encyclopedia of Knowledge Organization

He has published a large number of research papers in the area of knowledge organization. He has also designed and taught courses on
- Knowledge organization from Dewey to the Semantic Web
- Facet analysis
- Subject indexing in online catalogues and directories
He has been a reviewer for several top ranking journals in LIS including Journal of Documentation, JASIST, Knowledge Organization, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Information Science, to mention a few. He is also on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Information & Knowledge.

He has been a member of the Advisory Board of UDC and has served as its associate editor from 2010-2019. Dr. Gnoli has also been a vice-president of ISKO and has been Programme Chair of ISKO International Biennial conferences (2008-2010).
